Experience
I have a passion for education and career development, and I want to help students develop an appreciation for math. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to have a positive effect on my students, and I'm confident that I can help students reach their goals academically. I'm currently attending the state university, where I'm pursuing degrees in physics and electrical engineering. I tutor on campus, assisting students in math and physics. I enjoy motivating students and help them develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills they need to become self-sufficient learners. I understand that many people think that math is a topic that is too difficult or is frustrating to learn. I find that when I work with students who think this, it's often true that they know more math than they realize. A lot of students have the building blocks in place for them to be successful already. I enjoy helping students reach the moment where everything in math clicks for them. I can tutor algebra, calculus, elementary and middle school math, pre-algebra, reading, English, writing, study skills and organization, and others. When I have some spare time outside of academics, I enjoy studying philosophy, following politics, basketball, reading, engaging in a good debate, and cooking.
