Experience
As a Middle Grades Science Educator,I feel that science education should be a very interactive learning experience for students. Therefore, my science tutoring sessions will be a fun and exciting learning experience for all my students. I feel it is important to focus on creating lifelong memorable learning experiences for students. I want my students to be wowed by the wonders of science. This love of science will be instilled in my students by the use of a differentiated teaching methods based on their individual learning styles, hands on experiments that will spark students’ interests, and open discussions of scientific ideas. I believe in interactive learning. I believe that science should be “learned by doing”. I feel that students should be engaged in the learning process and not viewed as a passive recipient of knowledge from an "expert." I believe that the learning process is different for each child. My curriculum will be organized in a way that shows respect to children's interests, needs, and learning styles. “Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.” Ben Franklin

Hobbies
I am passionate about showing children that learning about science can actually be fun. Therefore, I do a lot of hands-on science experiments with my students. When I am not tutoring, I can be found volunteering at the Tellus Museum. I also have a passion for dogs and am a big part of local dog rescue groups.
