Very few people realize just how important Math and Science are when it comes to solving problems in the real world. I am a Design Engineer, so I use these subjects daily to do my job and do it well. While these subjects are important, I would still be incapable of doing my job without a strong grasp on the ability to do everyday tasks such as reading and being capable of writing as well. These two subjects help me to deal with the complicated series of specifications and codes that I deal with on any normal day on the job. My love for tutoring came about from the months that I wasn't attending the University of Colorado to get my degree. Those summers I worked with a camp that worked with students entering Junior High School who were very gifted students. The focus was put on Math and Science and I enjoyed helping these kids see the joy that could come out of learning and realizing that both of these did indeed have a place in life. Being from Colorado, I love hiking, camping, and biking, which I do still now that I live in the North Georgia Mountains. Every so often, I will veg out on the couch and watch a game or emerge myself in video games.
